Next-Generation AXIOS™
Dr. Kenneth Binmoeller and the original AXIOS™ engineer are now working on what they believe could become the next generation of AXIOS™ technology.
The Idea That Changed What Endoscopy Could Do
Dr. Binmoeller founded Xlumena around inventions for EUS-guided transluminal therapy.
Hoang Phan was part of the engineering team that helped bring the AXIOS™ lumen-apposing metal stent from concept to reality.
Xlumena was acquired by Boston Scientific in 2015, enabling global commercialization of AXIOS™.
This is the established story.
One Breakthrough Can Change the Field
The original AXIOS™ demonstrated what can happen when a clinical problem, a physician inventor, and specialized engineering come together.
Now Dr. Binmoeller and the original AXIOS™ engineer are applyinjg that same physician-engineer collaboration to a new generation of technology.
The goal is to expand what physicians may be able to accomplish through minimally invasive endoscopic approaches.

This is a development pathway, not a claim that every stage has already been completed for Next-Generation AXIOS™.
Reimagining What Endoscopy Can Do
Endovision is supporting the development of new physician-driven technologies intended to address unmet needs in gastrointestinal disease.
The next-generation AXIOS™ work is part of that larger mission.
The exact technical capabilities of the next-generation device are currently in development. No specific tumor sizes, obstruction sizes, cancer indications, mechanical dimensions, delivery mechanisms, clinical trial results, or regulatory approvals are claimed.
